The Flying Geese Group is a weekly drop-in session for those interested in practicing the whole being approach to mindfulness as covered in our introductory Mindfulness & Compassion for Well-Being 4-week course.
Q: What do you practice in the group?
A: We start off with some easy but very effective Qi Gong exercises, followed by some gentle Dao Yin yoga stretches, a short self-massage to various areas of the body, followed by a 30-minute sitting meditation.
Q: Do I need to have attended the 4-week course?
A: It is isn't necessary to have attended the 4-week course to attend the drop-in group, however some previous experience of meditation or yoga practice would be beneficial.
Q: How much is each drop-in session?
A: At present we charge only £4 per session.
Q: I might not be able to attend every week, is that ok?
A: As the group is organised on a drop-in basis you can come along whenever is convenient to keep inspired and motivated with your practice.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: We always suggest students bring along a blanket for the sessions regardless of the time of year, as body temperature can drop when meditating. Other than that, just some comfortable, loose clothing. We supply all mats and meditation stools/cushions.
